RATES ACCORDING TO TYPE OF MEMBERSHIP 
Active membership: CHF 200.00 / calendar year* 
One-time registration fee for full individual membership: CHF 100.00
Studio membership (only for full individual memberships): CHF 100.00 / calendar year 
Provisional student membership: CHF 100.00 / calendar year 
Donor membership: CHF 100.00 / calendar year

* Payment after December 31: CHF 30.00 additional fee. Please note that all memberships must be renewed year-round. 

We are an extremely diverse community of Pilates trainers. Therefore, each application is carefully considered. If necessary, we call on external experts. Certificates of continuing education must be submitted every 2 years (40 hours).

Requirements
1. Basic principles
Members must demonstrate their knowledge of the following:
  • History and principles of the Pilates method
  • Methodology and teaching
  • Contraindications and modifications
  • Knowledge of anatomy as relevant to Pilates
Additionally depending on certification:
Mat
  • Full classical or contemporary Pilates Mat repertoire
Mat and Reformer
  • Full classical or contemporary Mat and Reformer Pilates Repertoire
  • Safety in handling the equipment
Comprehensive
  • Full classical or contemporary Pilates repertoire
  • (Reformer, Cadillac/Trapeze table, Chair, Barrels, and Mat)
  • Safety in handling the equipmen
2. Requirement for a BLS-AED or First Aid certificate
The member must have a valid BLS-AED or First Aid certificate.

3. Training Requirements / Number of Hours:
The training program must adhere to the requirements established in the PilatesSuisse Teacher Training Program Guidelines. It should be completed by undergoing a practical test and a written theory examination. This applies to all certifications. Suppose a trainee completes the practical test and written theory examination before fulfilling the required physical training hours, observation hours, and teaching hours. In that case, he/she will be granted the following time slots to complete these necessary training hours while maintaining a student membership status:
  • 2 years for Mat Training and Mat and Reformer Training
  • 3 years for Comprehensive Training
Mat Training:
For Mat, a minimum of 150 training hours are required. This is equivalent to approximately six months of training. In addition to the attendance time at the training centre/school, this should include:
  • At least 50 hours of teaching experience.
  • At least 40 hours of student's own physical training in a Pilates studio, or 60 hours including online live training. In this case, at least 50% of the 60 hours must be practiced in a studio.
  • At least 15 hours of observation at a Pilates studio, or 25 hours including online observation with a minimum of 50% in studio observation.
Mat – Reformer Training:
For Mat and Reformer, a minimum of 300 training hours are required. This is equivalent to approximately one year of training.In addition to the attendance time at the training centre/school, this should include:
  • At least 100 hours of teaching experience.
  • At least 60 hours of student's own physical training in a Pilates studio, or 80 hours including online live training. In this case, at least 50% of the 80 hours must be practiced in a studio.
  • At least 20 hours of observation at a Pilates studio, or 30 hours including online observation with a minimum of 50% in studio observation.
Comprehensive Training:
Comprehensive training (all levels and equipments) entails a minimum of 500 hours, equivalent to approximately 1.5 to 2 years of training. In addition to the attendance time at the training centre/school, this should include:
  • At least 150 hours of teaching experience.
  • At least 80 hours of the student's own physical training in a Pilates studio, or 100 hours including online live training. In this case, at least 50% of the 100 hours must be practiced in a studio.
  • At least 50 hours of observation at a Pilates studio, or 60 hours including online observation with a minimum of 50% in studio observation.
  • Additionally, two case studies must be documented during the training period.
4. Registration for membership
Applications must be made online, through the Pilatessuisse website.Graduates who have obtained their Pilates training from a training organization recognized by Pilatessuisse only need to submit the relevant training certificate and their valid BLS-AED or First Aid certificate with their application for registration.Graduates of other training schools must provide full evidence of training as detailed in Points 1 to 3.



STUDIO MEMBERSHIP  (no new inscription for the moment/requirements are in discussion)
Studio membership does not entitle you to an additional voting right in addition to the active membership.

Requirements
· Every instructor working in the studio must be an active member or student member.

STUDENT/PROVISIONAL MEMBERSHIP 
A provisional membership can last a maximum of 3 years. 
Provisional members do not have the right to vote.

MEMBERSHIP DONOR MEMBER 
This membership is suitable for people who do not have Pilates training, but who nevertheless want to support the development and work of the federation in Switzerland. Donor members do not have voting rights.
